Cotton Prices Set to Increase!

We received an email the other day from a very venerable vendor that is disconcerting and will affect everyone! Due to the economy, production of cotton this year was down -- as need was predicted to be down. However, the cotton crops saw unusual weather that wreaked havoc with production -- causing yields to be much lower than expectations. This is especially true in China -- who is having to pay higher prices to import cotton to meet their production demands. Prices are starting to rise and it is predicted we will see increases from 10-20% in raw materials in the near term -- affecting everything made with cotton! That can only mean retail prices will start to increase sometime in 2010. Keep this in mind -- delaying a purchase may cause it to be much more in te long run!
